Pedigree Lleyn

We first introduced pedigree Lleyn sheep to Lane Farm in 1999. Since establishment, this flock has remained closed and has expanded from the initial seven ewes to a medium sized flock of approximately seventy purebred ewes. The focus has been on type and conformation. After selective breeding over several generations, a majority of the ewes will now produce twins (rather than triplets or more), with the lambs usually with a birth weight of around 4.5 to 5.0Kg each.
